A contributor to one of the telecom mailing lists I frequent posted the following picture this morning, taken in the London underground.

You will of course remember that a few weeks ago Virgin Media was deemed allowed to advertise their services as fiber even though technically they are HFC against BTs contention that it was wrongful advertising.
I'm wondering if, against all odds, Virgin will not be the one to prod BT hard enough that they will roll-out FTTH despite current frilosity. This is the battle of hearts and minds, and if Virgin manages to associate Fiber and Virgin, and provide reasonable QoS services to boot, they will force Openreach into action...
It may be disingeneous, but it's also advertising genius...
