I don't think I've ever mentioned Surewest on Fiberevolution and that's a mistake I'm correcting now. Surewest is a California based operator with a significant FTTH network (over 100k customers) who is quietly expanding. They have very interesting offers, with a strong push on what I like to call wider economy services like home surveillance and building monitoring.
They have just announced they were expanding in Kansas City, to 1500 homes at first with 8000 targeted. I read this in CED magazine, and I really like the quote from the Surewest VP:
"...one of our sales reps knocked on seven doors and sold six new
households our SureWest fiber services. And during one of our first
installations, four of the surrounding neighbors saw our SureWest
service vehicle and chased down our technician to ask if they could be
installed, as well."
Don't all FTTH operators wish things were so easy!
