Free has set up a query system whereby you can check whether you're eligible for fiber access or not. In that respect it's the most transparent of the three operators, and some clever developers have built an app to query every street in Paris and map it out. The map below is the end-result. Free is currently deploying 27% of the streets known by the system in Paris, and has deployed 1%.
These figures should be wielded with caution since we don't know exactly at which point of the deployment process Free decides to tag a street as being "currently deployed" and also because, of course, a street is a pretty poor representation of population or even home density. Still, it's an interesting anecdotal indicator and a clear sign that things are moving.
