As you read this I'm (hopefully) sleeping the sleep of the jetlagged waiting for Freedom to Connect to start on Monday morning (EST) in Washington DC. I'm very excited about this even because it will hopefully help me bridge the mental gap between the European and US worldview when it comes to regulation and policy.
It will also be an opportunity to hear and hopefully shake hands with people I've been reading for a long time and/or have heard about a lot. Bill St Arnaud and I have kept missing each other in at least three recent conferences, this is at last the opportunity to properly get to know each other. There's many more.
And since David Isenberg is a man after my own heart, not only has he gathered an amazing program, but he's topped it with gipsy jazz entertainment. Wow.
To be honest, my presentation (as of the time of writing this, hopefully not by the time you read it) is not finished yet, and I'm actually a little stressed out about it... How do you talk about relevant things to american policy makers without getting into the whole Europe/US rivalry?
Anyway, expect a lot of live tweeting on the event, and if you're not on twitter yet or if you don't follow me yet, hit http://www.twitter.com/Fiberguy!
